Only you can determine what happiness means to you in your own life. Happiness cannot be found or defined by any individual in your life besides “self”. Others can share in your happiness, but they cannot be the source of its creation.

Happiness has very much to do with your state of mind each day. If you keep viewing your life without it you will get that result. So happiness can be controlled by your thoughts, which then will turn into some type of action you take to create those things that do bring you happiness.

Happiness doesn’t mean that everything has to be peaches and cream in your life. Happiness is just the understanding that it is all about how you react to each and everything in your existence. You can choose to let others and events upset your day or not.

By choosing how your react you can directly charter your happiness in the course of your own doing. This action is truly empowering and life changing.

Never relinquish or let another take control of your happiness reigns from this day forward…

Positive Inspiration Today

We have been busy getting my oldest child ready to head off to college in June.

I knew this day would come, but that is my first born son and I will always see him as that “little me” grabbing his coat and shoes wanting to go wherever I was going.

Dang time flies when you are having fun and my children have been nothing, but fun since they arrived on the scene….so many wonderful memories and laughs for days on end.

I hope the good outweighs the bad when it is all said and done as I did the best I could, but many times my best wasn’t good enough…You always strive to be a better parent to your children, but I feel like I fell short more times than not…

I am so proud of both of them.

I know my oldest will go off and do wonderful things and the world will be a better place with him out there contributing to the betterment of it…I love you and I am so very proud of you Anthony, Jr.

Go forth and do what was placed inside of you to fulfill my son…!

Positive Inspiration Today

Just wanted to check in and give everyone a shout and see how the 2012 is progressing for the masses thus far? I am still working out the final band kinks in my music venture, so I see our first gig date is coming real soon.

Personally I am exploring all my creative outlets and I am growing leaps and bounds as an artist. I have met some awesome people who I have the distinct joy to call family now and that is great feeling. They have enriched my life for the better and I am grateful for them in ways I can’t even express.

I would encourage all of you to let the folks who are special in your life know that real fact today. A simple call or note can go a long way in making someone’s day.

Love is always increased when it is multiplied…until next time

Positive Inspiration Today

I had a person write me the other day and she mentioned that while my insight was truly enlightening to her and touched her in a profound way that is was still childlike and naïve at best. She went on to tell me that she was a realist and she had come to find out that you can’t work hard and be anything you would like to be as many parents tell their children.

She basically said that life is not at all that easy and therefore it will not allow you to be able to bend it at will. First of all for her to take that much time to bring me back to reality merely told me that what I was doing was reaching its objective and therefore making the necessary difference that I envisioned it would upon its inception.

Dream killers, realists or whatever the new term may be have no more say in your outcome then the many hater you will encounter when you are going against the grain to make a positive difference in this world. I mean would you rather sit in the area with those who felt that they really don’t have any say in their own life/outcome or would you rather run and deal with the life changing making a true difference in every aspect of their life crowd?

I heard a wonderful statement today that will make all the difference in your world. The quote went like this, “You are whatever you repeatedly do in your life”, so think about what that really states for a moment…

If you are constantly thinking, acting, speaking and conducting yourself as a success, positive, impactful and encouraging person you are going to be just that from the nature of this simple repetition. I know this firsthand from the many people I make it a point to surround myself with in my own life. I learned early on that who I hung around was just as important as who I was stating I was in my own mind.

When is the last time you saw someone whose confession did not line up with their lifestyle? I figured out real quickly that normally we keep company with folks who appeal to who we really believe we are in our own minds. This is why like minded folks seem to hone in on one another like a hidden tracker beam or something. Smoker like to keep company with smokers, car people like other car people, golfers run with other golfers and readers tend to seek out other readers.

As a bodybuilder one of my dearest friends loved to work out just as much as I did when I lived near him. We were both silly and loved to laugh and act crazy like I do with my only biological brother.

So I leave you all with this…keep on challenging every paradigm and keep the hater looking higher as you rise above them and all their talk and self inflicted complacency.

Well our drummers health has taken a turn for the worse, so he is heading back into the hospital indefinitely and we are back to looking for another drummer.

We have some prospects, so hopefully the right one won’t take too long to flush out…

I have been painting my behind off and I have completed some works that got me stoked beyond my own abilities and it gave me the long awaited boost of rejuvenation that I needed for my continued growth and accomplishments.

Everything is lining up just as planned and I really am having a blast with the simple joy that life is supposed to bring.

Positive Inspiration Today

We finally got back in the studio after a long 3 week hiatus and I was pleasantly surprised that everyone kept up their practices and we were very productive as a result.

Our drummer was in the hospital with pneumonia and he finally got released and he is still working on trying to get all his strength back.

I have been singing lead vocals and background vocals for more months than I care to name. This is sometimes easier said than done, so imagine my surprise to find out one of my coworkers was interested in getting back into singing and to top it off she loves the funky type of music we are doing.

I gave her some CD’s with the first two song set lists on Wednesday the 28th, I briefed the fellas the following night at practice that we might finally have some vocal help coming to which they replied “is she coming tonight…?”

I said she did not confirm that she was coming tonight, but I reassured them that by next week I would definitely know where she was coming from. But between you and me I had this feeling, knowing her personality like I do, that she just might try to surprise me by showing up and about 15 minutes into our practice session the door opens and there she stood with this big kid grin on her face ready to have the time of her life!!!!

She came by my office this morning and she is still grinning from ear to ear and that is what music and good energy transfer can do to you when you are doing the things that you love to do in life.

Our sax player is missing in action and I have not been able to reach him through email nor his phone. I don’t know what is going on with him, but I pray he is okay and will reach out to me soon just to let me know he is among the living.

I spent the down time with the band to get back to the enjoyment that I have in painting and building resin monster model kits. I started in this hobby about 7 years ago and my only sibling had spoke of an interest a few years back, so I hooked him up with a nice starter kit this past Holiday/Christmas to see if he would take to it like me?

He finally got around to building one of the 8 bust I gave him 2 months ago and he is just getting ready to completed his final one any day now. He is having the time of his life and that is great when you can share something you enjoy with someone else you care about like your little brother.

I have over 372 kits, so I am not hurting when it comes to sharing my collection wealth among my brother. His birthday is next week and I went through my entire studio to make sure he would have everything needed to take his modeling to the next level.

After days of grabbing items and loading boxes the end result was a total of 15 packages heading to the post office at a combine weight of close to 100 – 150 pounds…and we are not talking little boxes by any stretch of the imagination based on that weight…smile

He will be unpacking boxes for many days to come, but I know he will be able to take his creativity to a whole other level and that just does my heart good and it keeps my creativity going trying to stay ahead of the game….sibling competition at its finest you know….LOL

Positive Inspiration Today

It has been awhile since I wrote something, so I figured I would let you know what I have been up to lately. We final got all the bodies needed for our funk band, so we are busy practicing so we can start playing out in September.

I have not been able to paint in such a long time due to the band and other things, so I have been doing more of that lately and it feels great. Everything is lining up and coming together beautifully. Life is good and I have been busy living it.

Positive Inspiration Today

I have been getting up every morning to either ride my bike 4 to 10 miles or go work out at the fitness center for 45 minutes to an hour.

I find it so hard to try and find the strength/drive to work out after working a long 8 hours day.

I figured that this way I could set my mood and metabolism by starting my day out on the right foot.

This is truly funny because I am anything, but a morning person yet is has been working out great for me thus far. No pun intended.

Sometimes drastic measures generate life changing results. Thursday will be my first full week of doing something every day, so this is a big deal for me.

3 weeks constitutes a newly formed habit so here we go…
